Children and young people placed with us come from all kinds of backgrounds and are usually confused, scared, angry and feel let down.
Make no mistake that fostering can be challenging but it is also very rewarding and makes a real difference to children’s lives. Here are just some quotes we’ve been sent by the children and young people in our care:
If you are interested in becoming a foster carer with Alliance Foster Care, we would be delighted to talk to you and tell you more about what’s involved. We have open days each month where you would be very welcome to come and meet the team followed by an opportunity to sit down and talk through what fostering is all about. We also hold coffee mornings once a quarter with our foster carers who pop in for a ‘chat and a cuppa’ – they are the best people to talk to about fostering and love to welcome potential carers to the group.
If you can’t make it to us, then one of our team will come and visit you and your family at home to answer any questions and talk to you about the process of becoming a foster carer.
We are often asked ‘can I become a foster carer?’. If you have the time, space, patience and a good sense of humour, then fostering could be for you. If you have a genuine interest in working with children and young people, we would love to hear from you.
If you would like to know more, visit our Contact Us page and complete the enquiry form, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or, call us on 0808 1680 180. We will then contact you to explain a bit more about our agency, what fostering involves and guide you through the process step by step.
